I'm here to talk a little about my new ebook, Listen: A Girl's Guide to Festivals and Concerts. This guide is the result of my lifelong passion for live music events, and it is designed to provide a comprehensive guide to everything you need to know about staying safe while attending and enjoying live music events. 

I am excited to share my passion for live music with you. I have been to hundreds of concerts and shows, and am an avid fan of jam bands like Umphrey's Mcgee, the Disco Biscuits, Ripe, moe., and so many more. As someone who has attended countless live music events and festivals over the years, I wanted to include my own thoughts and experiences on planning and preparing for these experiences in my book. I've learned firsthand the importance of proper preparation, safety, and responsible behavior, and I wanted to share those insights with my readers.

Throughout the book, I cover a wide range of topics, from the history of live music events to the logistics of planning and attending festivals and concerts (even choosing what to wear). I also share some personal anecdotes and tips based on my own experiences attending live music events around the world.

Home is Not a Country by Safia Elhillo is a powerful and poignant novel in verse about a young girl named Nima who is grappling with her identity and place in the world. Set in both the United States and Sudan, the book explores themes of cultural identity, belonging, and the importance of love between women. Nima is a young Sudanese girl living with her mother in America. Her father is dead, and she often imagines what the younger versions of her parents must have been like in the past. Throughout the book there is great emphasis placed on photographs, songs, and cultural heritage, especially language. I loved how snippets of Arabic were incorporated throughout.
