My new ebook - Listen: A Girl's Guide to Festivals and Concerts

I'm here to talk a little about my new ebook, Listen: A Girl's Guide to Festivals and Concerts. This guide is the result of my lifelong passion for live music events, and it is designed to provide a comprehensive guide to everything you need to know about staying safe while attending and enjoying live music events.

I am excited to share my passion for live music with you. I have been to hundreds of concerts and shows, and am an avid fan of jam bands like Umphrey's Mcgee, the Disco Biscuits, Ripe, moe., and so many more. As someone who has attended countless live music events and festivals over the years, I wanted to include my own thoughts and experiences on planning and preparing for these experiences in my book. I've learned firsthand the importance of proper preparation, safety, and responsible behavior, and I wanted to share those insights with my readers.

That's me at the House of Blues in Orlando for an Umphrey's McGee show.

Whether you're a seasoned concertgoer or attending your first festival, I hope that the tips and guidance I provide in this book will help you make the most of your live music experience. I wrote it specifically with female readers in mind with the intention of helping them gain a deeper appreciation for live music and to provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to fully enjoy their live music experiences. Throughout the book, I cover a wide range of topics, from the history of live music events to the logistics of planning and attending festivals and concerts (even choosing what to wear). I also share some personal anecdotes and tips based on my own experiences attending live music events around the world.

Live music events have been a part of human culture for centuries. From the earliest days of music, people have gathered to listen to live performances, whether it was a group of minstrels playing in a town square or a classical concert in a grand hall. Over time, the popularity of live music events has only grown, with new genres and technologies emerging to support larger and more complex performances.

One of the most significant moments in the history of live music was the rise of rock and roll in the 1950s. This genre quickly became a cultural phenomenon, and live concerts became the primary way for fans to experience their favorite bands. The 1960s and 70s saw the rise of stadium rock, with legendary bands like The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin packing out arenas and stadiums around the world.

Today, live music events come in many shapes and sizes, from small club shows to massive outdoor festivals. No matter the setting, live music has the power to bring people together and create unforgettable experiences. In my new book, I delve into the fascinating history of live music events, exploring how they have evolved over time and the impact they have had on society and culture. Whether you're a music lover or just curious about the history of live performance, this book is for you.

Attending live music events can be a transformative experience that brings people together and creates unforgettable experiences, and I hope that this book will inspire readers to seek out and enjoy live music events for years to come. Whether you're a seasoned concert-goer or a newcomer to the scene, there's always something new to discover and enjoy. So let's dive in and explore the world of live music together!
